After ordering, how long does delivery take?

At PC Specialist every computer is custom assembled to your requirements. We have a finite number of employees but our order backlog changes daily. Based on our backlog we can estimate the average lead times on new orders placed. When considering our estimated lead times it is important to consider that some orders will be delivered quicker than this, but also that other orders will be delivered slower than this. Delivery times vary based on the components you select when ordering.

What are the current lead times?

We are currently working to the following lead times:

Desktop PCs:Estimated 11 to 13 working days
Laptops:Estimated 7 to 9 working days

If I place an order today, when can I expect my computer?

If you order a desktop computer today and the payment is confirmed, based on the lead times above we estimate that the average order will be dispatched by Thursday 1st May 2014. This is not a guarantee but a guidance date for your reference only, and will only apply if your order is processed today. Orders placed under a finance agreement or by bank transfer will not be processed until we confirm the payment.

How can I speed up my delivery?

If you need your computer urgently we offer a fast-track delivery service which can be selected at the time of ordering, or alternatively by amending your order through your online account.

Alternatively, consider ordering a pre-built computer which can we dispatch immediately after ordering, providing payment is confirmed by 3pm on a working day. To view our range of pre-built computers, click here.

When are "working days"?

Working days are classed as Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm excluding bank holidays.

What are your opening hours?

You can contact PC Specialist on 0333 011 7000 Monday - Friday 9am - 8pm (Saturdays 9am - 5pm).
When will I know my order has been dispatched?

When your order is dispatched, we will send you an email confirming the dispatch and we will provide you with a consignment number which you can track online from roughly 6pm that evening. If you provided a mobile telephone number when you placed the order, we will also send you a text message confirming the dispatch and containing the consignment number.

Upon dispatch, how quickly will my order arrive?

Once your order is dispatched, it is estimated that your computer will be with you in 24 - 48 hours (excluding weekends & bank holidays). Deliveries to Highlands, Islands and ROI will take longer, depending on the accessibility of your delivery location.

Orders placed on a Saturday delivery service will be dispatched on a Friday for delivery on a Saturday morning.

Orders placed on a pre-10am delivery service will be delivered by 10am.

What courier company do you use?

Your order will be dispatched to you by our preferred courier, DPD. DPD have a good reputation and a very high percentage of consignments are delivered the next working day. In busy periods however, your order may take 2 working days to arrive.


What time will my computer arrive?

Your order will be dispatched on a next day delivery service and therefore it may come at any time between 9am - 6pm.

What happens if I miss the delivery courier?

Should there be nobody available at your premises to accept delivery of your order DPD will leave you a card with a telephone number for you to arrange a re-delivery of your computer.
