Perfect, you can drop the ram to 1333 if its a gaming rig at stock clocks, same goes for the sound card.

Thanks Gorman

Can't believe I omitted to say what it'll be used for!

I'm not a gamer at all, so this will be the family PC, but will get used mainly for photo and video (light) editing. I'm trying to balance up cost against longevity, so that this one last 7 yeasr as my last one did!

Cheers

Just a quick thought, do you need the sound card, the onboard sound should be fine (I think) for the vast majority of stuff (unless you need really high quality sound).

Agree with the RAM/Soundcard comments above. Also, do you need Win 7 Professional? The majority of home users are fine with Home Premium unless they have a specific requirement for Win 7 Pro - XP Mode maybe?

Thanks guys.

The notes on soundcard and RAM are noted, but it doesn't make a big difference to the price - £28. Re the operating system, its the XP mode I'm after as I have a few legacy XP programs I still need to run.

Brilliant, just we've have had customers in the past order it just because they thought it was "better than Home Premium"
