Optimus II: 17.3" Matte?

Hi, recently got a quote for a 17.3" Optimus II that I'm looking to order for work and maybe a little gaming when I'm away from my desktop. However, I noticed the Matte Display says 'NO ETA' (estimated time of arrival?), and was wondering whether I'd get this in a reasonable ammount of time.

I'm a programmer and gamer, so I'll be spending a lot of time staring at this thing, and a glossy screen just sounds like a pain to me.

I believe PCS are trying to source suitable matte screens for the 17" but NO ETA means they do not not know when it will be in, so I suppose you could be in for some wait. If you have issues with reflections on your screen then yeah go for matte. Otherwise its 50/50, matte shows whites better, gloss shows blacks better and usually brings colours out better.

Thanks, I've been looking into it and I'm gonna go for the glossy screen anyhow. I'm sure I can avoid harshly lit environments so reflection shouldn't be an issue, and this saves me a lot of money that I can pour into my other components ^^;
