PC to run at least 2 monitors

My son "needs" a new PC and wants to run 2 (and possibly 3) very good quality 27" or 30" monitors. Its mostly used for poker where he has multi tables open at any time. Will this PC do the job - what else do I need to think about? Any suggestions on monitors?

Pretty much all the graphics cards will run two monitors (my old Nvidia 8800GTX could) on their own, so 2xHD5870 will have no issues whatsoever - all the newer cards seem to have 3 connections on them.

I would imagine with 2 of them you could run numerous monitors, though it's not something I've ever tried (I don't have space for more than 2 monitors anyway)

Great spec you've put together there, which can handle up to four monitors when not setup in Crossfire mode. :)

I don't understand your reference to Crossfire. Can you explain?

It's where two graphics cards are linked together for playing games. If you difinitely plan to use three monitors, please contact us after ordering to ensure we don't setup your PC in Crossfire mode. If you're only using two monitors, Crossfire mode will be fine. I'm sure your son will know how to enable/disable Crossfire regardless.

Note: If you're not planning to play any games and just want two monitors, you can have a much lower spec graphics card and save yourself (or your son) a small fortune.

Well he won't be playing any games but does want to have 3 monitors eventually. I'm not sure he needs all the extra cooling I have added either.

He needs really good monitor resolution - his eyes are already suffering from sitting at his screens too long.
