Its bad news you've experienced bad service from DPD. I believe though (from my take of reading other threads) as long as you've used the original packaging your PC came in from PCS the transit shouldn't damage the PC. After all, its likely it was delivered by a DPD driver! Also if you have used the original packaging I would imagine you'll still be covered by PCS.

Hopefully it wont come to anything though and you'll get your PC back soon fully fixed!

not received a package from pcs yet, but have a few times from dpd so i guess ill share my experiences. I buy and sell on ebay ALOT and the 1st time i came across DPD was when i bought a golf set, the package was about 5 foot tall, It came to the day of delivery and no one turned up, no phone call, no nothing. So i got in touch with the seller and he promptly got back in touch with me telling me they have lost the package. I mean really? lol but anyway to the sellers credit he sent me anouther one out. It came to the delivery date once again waited in all day.... still didnt turn up. so the morning after i was planning to contact the buyer when suddenly around 8am ( i was asleep) my sister took delivery and when i got downstairs there where 2 golf sets and a small brown box with someone else's name and address on it. both the golf boxes where beat to **** .. torn, ripped.. and a vague attempt to try and rectify it with sellotape. Took alot of ringing around to get the mystery box picked back up and also the other golf set that belonged to the seller. the second time i got something from them it was delivered to a different address miles away and to the point of the driver realising that the house he went too didn't order a package, there wasn't enough time to get it to where i was.

Anyway, In all the years i have been buying and selling, i have never come across anyone as bad as DPD. They really are the worst delivery company out there in my opinion.

    -rant over

Unfortunately its the same for all couriers, they all have horror stories about deliveries, there is no perfect courier service, no matter which company you use there will always be people they let down horribly

DPD dropped off a retro computer monitor for me a few weeks ago.

Literally dropped it. As in smashed the casing and caused it not to work. An almost irreplaceable bit of kit.

If you send anything by DPD, be prepared to deal with a numpty driver and really absolutely do package your item in a paranoid way.

Also, they do the usual "nobody home" excuse for non-delivery when in fact they couldn't be bothered to find the address because it didn't show up on their satnav.

More than Impressed with the service DPD supplied when delivering my laptop!

Dispatched by PCS on 22.08.12. Shortly after this, I received a text informing me that it would be delivered on 23.08.12 (with the option to text back and change the delivery day if necessary). This morning (23.08.12) I received a text just after 0800h informing me that I should expect my package to deliver between 10:39 and 11:39... The driver arrived and delivered the laptop at 10:45 with absolutely no problems at all.

I also found the online tracking to be flawless, and it was updated to keep me informed every step of the way!

Absolute 5* service here, which I guess you should expect when spending this much money... Everything in terms of delivery was perfect, and I would recommend DPD to anyone!
