I'm not questioning your judgment, but why is this any better (apart from the graphics card, I have checked and its the same price)
the hdd is a bit bigger but I dont need it because I already have an external hard drive.

    1. Case is more flexible, though this is your choice upon choosing.
    2. CPU isn't better, however it is solid where it stands and is cheaper. 4cores is plenty for use unless you have specific reason to make use of more?
    3. More room on the motherboard for upgrades.
    4. As stated yourself, better graphics card.
    5. Bigger drive, though you can drop it down to your needs. A decent size drive is always nice as they tend to get pretty full due to media use or the alike.
    6. A better psu for better reliability down the road.
    7. Better cpu cooler.
    8. popped in a silver warranty, not needed but a big recommendation.

If not clear, I can explain it more

I am going to be using this for gaming, sound recording and editing, and to support my GCSE's, particularly computer science, and just a beast of a web browser.
your recommendation of a better hdd is acknowledged but may not be acted upon.
