just a question; would the tritton you mentioned be able to connect to ps3 as well as PC.

No, the Trittons wouldn't
They require a usb port, headphone Jack, mic jack, then 2 others for the sub and something else. Meant to be used with a soundcard

right, so i need a headset that will both be ps3 and pc compatible, good sound quality and true 5.1 for under £70-£80
