Worst must be APB (MMOish fps), got bored of it on the first day and shortly after it went bust and servers went down.
Best probably Fallout (1, 2, 3 and New Vegas) or like DeadEyeDuk says CS.
So many hours spent on CS, wether it was on public servers or league matches, actually played CS:S again on saturday for the first time in a year or so and it's still great fun (although really annoying to see how bad I am at it now).
Will probably end up playing CS:GO when it comes out.
Another nice thing about CS is that this is where I first met my GF.

Hmm worst game i bought for the Console would be a game called Ledgendary although you might say that the console was the worst gaming decission i made =)
Best game i've bought would be Skyrim for the PC or Mass effect 2, although i really like Command And Conquer Red Alert 3

What an absolutely spiffing question!
I suppose hours-played-wise it would have to be CSS, GW and WoW. But MMORPGs will have big played times. CSS purely for the fact I bought it when it came out, and will still play it occasionally now. Though like Yak said it upsets me how you always go back a square skill-wise when you've had a break from it
Oh I'd also say the Sniper Elite demo because I've played the first level so many times.
Don't really have a worst as I usually do a lot of reading up on a game if I'm going to spend money on it
I said a hip, hop, the hippy, the hippy to the hip hip hop a-you don't stop a-rockin to the bang bang boogie say up jumped the boogie...

It is really frustrating to see the skill issues with cs, however it is nice when you see that this happens to the pros too like heaton etc. on the other hand when they come back it does feel nice to be on top of the stats.
In general I tend to look up games before I buy them but sometimes when walking past Game for example I can't resist going in and buying a random game...

Best would definately be cs:s. Played that game for over 1,000 hours
Worst is Call of duty black ops, played it a little and didn't really like it, modern warfare 1 was much better.

Worst fallout 3? really... that's one of my favorite games of all time.

Worst: All Points Bulletin. I got too excited, I liked the idea a lot, but it blew. Making my character was just about the only fun part.
Best: Guild Wars, purely in the fact I fished out of a bargain bin and yet got something like 5000 hours of play out it (okay, a lot of that was afk/forgot to log out time, but still). I would have put Portal here, but I didn't pay for it. Thank you, Steam, for random freebies!
