anyone played this "mmo" mod for arma 2?

apparently its pretty spectacular...

A 225 km2 open world post-soviet state and one of the areas hit by a new and presently unknown infection which has wiped out most of the world's population. You are one of the few who have survived and now you must search this new wasteland in order to fight for your life against what is left of the indigenous population, now infected with the disease.

Go Solo, team up with friends or take on the world as you choose your path in this brutal and chilling landscape using whatever means you stumble upon to survive.

Basically its a mod for a military simulator, ARMA 2. Its a persistent world, with permadeath. You only start out with a can of beans, a handgun. No compass though you can find it. No radar and map but you can find compass and a piece of the map, which won't have your positions so you'll have to figure out where you are on the map.

Sounds pretty anti-casual, but it has by FAR, has the greatest potential for human interaction because you depend on each other so much. This one mod is better than the entire show of Walking Dead when it works right

the mods free, and apparently it works with ARma 2 free (the free to play version of the full game)

i'm currently downloading "arma2free" off desura and will let you know if it works

arma 2 combined ops is currently 25 quid on steam

I have no money at the moment to buy the game atm :/
I am howerver downloading the free version on steam, if the mod works you will need to show me where to get it etc would be much appreciated!

been playing this since may nearly had 20 or so heartattacks playing it! such an immersive game, anyway back to my point you can run it with arma 2 free but you still need to purchase the operation arrowhead dlc to run the mod the best way to play it is to purchase the game from https://store.bistudio.com/arma2-com...-steam-version this gives you the full game plus the dlc for £15 which allows you to play in hi rez as the free version is low textures only get it quick though as there sale finishes on july 15th if you have the game feel free to add me on steam aslong as you dont shoot me in my back for my m16.
