    Coolermaster cm storm trooper

    Hi all
Still wrestling with my build while waiting for the cash

Thought was set on a case but now not so sure.

Anybody have a COOLERMASTER CM STORM TROOPER ?
Just wondering what the coolings like as looks like has a 200mm at the top and a 140 at the back as well as the 2 at the front - also provision for another fan at the bottom.

    Appreciate any input

    Thanx

    Thanx Kaptain

I have seen a Newegg video of the case which explained the HDD caddy rotation a lot better but never dealt with the fans situation.
The vid you linked does that and now I know what extra fans will be able to add into the case.

    Nice one

That case is ace, not got one, but would have got one if I hadn't invested so much in my storm sniper.

You can also get a massive side window! The customisation is excellent, loads of different fan configs!

    Cheers Tom
Will deffo have to get hold of one of those

    On another note
Does anyone know how many fans the inbuilt fan controller can manage ?
I plan on swopping the 200mm at the top for 2x120s and putting another 120 on the floor of the case
IF dont get the window side will add another 2x120 to the side panel so will be a total of 6 inc supplied fans ( or 8 if put 2 in the side )

Just wondering if all of those would be able to connect to the controller
    And indeed the LEDS
Wonder if any additional fan LEDs will connect to the front panel switch ok

    So many questions

There are only four ports for fans which I think the case comes with full up already, 2 x 120mm front, 140mm back & 200mm top.
You could always add more fans to the motherboard and control them through the bios which is what I will do.
Not sure if you can have more than one fan controller, don't see why not but can anyone shed any light on that?

    Thanx again kaptain
I know the configurator wouldnt let me add in a fan controller as has the one built in

Seems odd you can have 8 case fans and controller only covers 4
Guess could control thru bios but like to stay out of there if can

You could always add your own fan controller, but that would involve disconnecting all the fans and reconnecting them up to ya new fan controller, (wht I did on my case)

I tried connecting more fans to my the case fan controller, it didnt really fair very well, wasnt even power for all the fans. If you add your own, i'd suggest a lamptron fan controller, one with plenty of watt's per channel, so you can rig up two fans to one channel.

If ya need any advice on that front, dont hesitate to let me know
