Why is computerplannet so much cheaper? am I missing something?

I built two systems on here and on computer plannet, the one on CP came out £400 cheaper than here and they have gtx 690s in stock, don't get me wrong I love this site and so does everyone else.

I can see the hate inc, but I just wondered is there a catch to them?

    Thanks

they dont have gtx 690's in stock. Because there are so few of these cards available, nVidia allocate all supply of this card from all manufacturers. They basically say who will get them and how many, and then only nVidia partners of which we are one of not many and compterplanet are not. Even then we dont get nearly as many as we would like. I beleive there has been somewhere in the region of 100 cards delivered into the uk since launch. But hey go ahead and order, and then wait for the phonecall advising to change to the gtx 680.

Just checked this out of curiosity and my build came to be over £160 more expensive than PCS.. Oh, and the GTX 690 is greyed out.
