I can't believe Portugal lost! They were on fire. However, I've rooted for Germany all the way through the Euros, and they haven't let me down just yet!

They let you down! Italy were immense. Im glad for them; they really deserved it. Hopefully we may have gone out to the eventual winners, but im not sure if Spain will be too strong for them. If the Portugal match was anything to go by Italy have a real chance if they go for it. Watching that match, I think Portugal probably deserved to go through for their sheer guts in attacking Spain. Although extra time showed the Spanish quality; and in the penalties, why Ronaldo "saved himself for the later penalty" I dont know. For me it is a scared player that does that; most penalty shootouts dont get that far in any case. Or maybe I have just seen too many with England involved. Groan. As an Everton fan I would have liked to see Baines on for that last game; think he would have given us a much needed outlet down the left, and also is a penalty specialist. Shame for England, but I think they did well to get as far as they did. The defence was great all tournmament apart from on some set pieces; just need to concentrate on getting more of a balance to our play and stopping Woy from being to rigid in his love for 4-4-2.
I personally hope Italy win the final. They have shown how to get a fairly average side all the way (Aside from Pirlo and maybe Cassano) which is something we need to learn. I have enjoyed most of the matches, apart from the later England games which were enfuriating; we can play much better than that!
