Yes, like I said. Insertion fees are totally free in most cases if you start the auction from 0.99p

The fees upon selling are the ones that get you every time.

I've heard of gumtree but never used it, this may be better for you.

    thanks guys,

I will probably stick to ebay, but try and stick to the free weekends, unless I want a specific price.

Yeah It hurts mate but thats how ebay make their money. They roughly ask for 10% of what you sold. Thats why I try to sell face to face and use ebay as a last resort.

Never bother with eBay. They charge a stupidly high amount to sell. I only use it when buying things.

Just a little tip, use something like Imageshack to host images of whatever you're selling then put a link to them in the item description otherwise you'll have to pay extra to put more than 1 image on the site.

    got another ebay query guys

Buyer made me an offer, I accepted on sat. But he still aint paid yet, i've sent him a thank you (for buying) email and the invoice and still nothing, either he doesn't check his email or he's completely forgot. He also has 100% feedback, so didnt expect this.

what should I do? I don't wanna moan to ebay, as they will moan at him, then he may give me bad feedback as I'm a new seller I don't want that.

The resolution centre says wait four days, but its annoying as I could have sold it to someone else received the money and dispatched today.

If he doesnt buy it, can I give him bad feedback? Without him being able to give me bad feedback?

    Thanks

I'd contact him and request an immediate response and indicate that you may contact ebay if you stated in your listing that payment should have being made within 24hours. As far as I know buyers and sellers can leave feedback to each other.
