Doesn't make a difference what molex you use, just make sure it fits in and looks tidy
Also make sure the sata cables are going into the mobo too
You may need to config the bios to boot from the SSD

I enabled the hot swap drive on my own PC by going into bios settings,
main menu/storage configuration/then changing sata ports 5 &6 from IDE to AHCI,
you need to be sure you are changing the settings on the correct port/s,because
if you change the settings from IDE to AHCI on the sata port your OS drive is plugged into it may make your PC unbootable, though changing the setting back should correct that.
Your bios menu will probably be a bit different.

Try what Vanthus said. DO you know for sure the SSD is working?

I should have mentioned this as well, check in disk management to see if the drive is showing there, click "Start"/right click"computer"/Manage/under "Storage"select "Disk Management",
or click "start" and type diskmgmt.msc in search box.
It's possible you only need to assign a Drive letter,
to do this right click on the bar of the drive in the lower half of the screen,
select "change drive letter and paths"
click on the Add button in the next menu and pick a drive letter.
Click ok to assign selected drive letter or choose your own letter (one thats not already being used)from the drop down menu.
If the drive is showing as unallocated,
right click on the black bar of the "unallocated drive",
click on "new simple volume"then follow the wizard.
check in "computer" to confirm missing drive is showing.
If it's not showing in disk management, check the drive isn't disabled in bios settings,or that it needs to be set to AHCI like I said.

If it's not showing in disk management but showing in bios i would assume it's down to a bios setting,
if it's not showing in bios I would think a cable/connection problem or the drive itself.
