Anyone with a Powerglide extreme All in One ?
Hi everyone,
I'm thinking of buying one of the 24" PowerGlide Extreme AIO's.
At the moment I'm playing around with the configurator, to choose the best config for me.
Want to use it primarily as a gaming machine / media centre. So basically plenty of memory, a good quality video card, fast processor & big HDD.
Could someone comment on the touch screen quality ? I believe the screen has the glossy finish ? Was hoping there might be a YouTube review video out there, but couldn't find anything. Some of the AIO's I've seen have the soft touch screens that almost bruise, when touched. I know it's a 24" 1920 x 1080 Multi-Touch Widescreen (2 Point Touch), LED backlit screen.
Can someone comment on the visual / build quality of the screen & on the general quality of the box itself ?
I've seen the posts about cooling concerns & the bottom line is that there aren't any issues. It does seem like a good piece of kit.
Also, was wondering what 3D graphics card, people would recommend ? Specifically regarding quiet running & good gaming quality, without excessive heat.
Would appreciate hearing from anyone who's bought one & any advice they might have on the spec to go for !!
Thanks

For 3d gaming? GTX 670 but I think the Powerglide does not support 3d gaming with the multi-touch widescreen.

Thanks Rubensolo for the tip on the graphics card !!
The GTX 670, was the one I had on my wishlist
Wanted a good graphics card to give me plenty of options on the gaming side as well as video playback.
Wouldn't necessarily be using the Touch screen for gaming though. I'll hook up a good gaming keyboard & mouse, for that.
Was more curious about the quality of the Touchscreen for general use & blueray playback, rather than gaming.
I agree though, the GTX 670 card is the way to go.

There will be some videos coming soon and it will also be sent to many online review websites/magazines for review. These will be available in the next month or so and I'm sure they will have plenty to say about the touch screen. The biggest benefit of our new AIOs is that Windows 8 is just around the corner and it's been designed with touch in mind - therefore this is great for future-proofing!

Thanks Wolvo7 & PCS,
What puts the Powerglide AIO ahead of the other AOI's I've looked at, is the fact that it comes with a chassis that can be opened up & parts can be replaced / upgraded easily. The other AIO's I've seen, are essentially closed systems or very difficult when it comes to h/ware upgrades. The screen is the one part, that I obviously wouldn't be changing in the future, which is why I'm keen to see some online reviews or youtube footage, of the touchscreen in action. Well done to PCSpecialist.co.uk I'll watch the PCS website for more news on the PowerGlide, over the coming weeks. Cheers
