Final Draft on Gaming PC (Hopefully looking for thumbs up on the go ahead)

Hi all, just a quick rundown of the specs I have chosen for a new gaming PC. I had some useful help before and came to the conclusion I went overkill on specs which I just wouldn't have needed. I believe these that I have chosen to be a good build for what I'd need.

I have left out the Memory - Hard Disk section as I wasn't sure what would be best to go for, I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to building PCs so any advice on that front would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Do note that unless you already have a homeplug network, you need to start off with two homeplugs, one for the router, and one for the PC.
If you do already have a homeplug network then just ignore me

You don't need the i7 for gaming.
An i5 3550 would be just as good and if you want to play with overclocking get the 3570 k with the titan cooler.
If you don't want to meddle the just use a stock cooler.
If you can afford it upgrade the gpu to a 7950 or even better the gtx 670 or 7970.
If your planning on doubling up your gpu's you might need a bigger PSU.
If not then you don't need the Sli crossfire motherboard.

I'm not particularly working within a given budget. Just looking to create a decent system that can run what games I need it to. I made the HDD what you suggested, thank you

I didn't know that, no. Have changed it to the two homeplug option now. I was curious as to what the need for an extra was so thank you for pointing that out to me

Well if budget is not an issue
I'll go with an SSD as a primary drive and the caviar black as a secondary drive. I have the Intel 520 SSD + caviar black, makes booting windows very quick as well as any applications/games in the SSD. I use the caviar black for storage of documents, movies, music, games I occassionaly play, etc...

I've changed the Processor to the i5 you suggested, I don't intend on overclocking so I went for the 3550 and reverted to the stock cooler. I don't think I'll need to upgrade the GPU to run the particular games I will be playing but I increased the PSU as suggested in case I need to add another GPU in the future. Thank you for the feedback.

Did you check in the configurator that a higher PSU is needed for 2 x 7870? I'd expect the corsair 650w to be sufficient for crossfire those. (tight but sufficient)

I'd go for the super quiet CPU cooler over the stock one
