Question Asus VG278H XBOX 360 support?

Hi guys, I need someone to clarify something for me before I make my purchase tonight.

I want the Asus VG278H monitor for 3D gaming primarily on the PC but I also would like to hook up the ol' 360 too!
Asus state that via the HDMI 1.4 connection it is possible to use game consoles (how vague) Several forums have people saying they are getting 3d from the XBOX and several forums have people who say it will not work. Again stores in general are rather vague on the matter.

Is there anyone with this monitor and an XBOX 360 that can verify it will work please??!?!?!

    Thanks, K

I have that monitor and I can use my PS3 for 3D (not very good though), I assume it would be the same with an Xbox through the HDMI but not sure on 3D capabilities

Cheers Ruben, when you say not very good what do you mean?

Is there anyone else with the monitor or a friend with one that can tell me for definite that it works?

By not good I mean that I tested Batman Arkham City in both the PS3 and my PC, 3D gaming with the PS3 is awful and nowhere near as good as what you get with the pc version.

Would you say that was because your PC is more capable than the PS3? Or are you thinking it's a compatibility issue, i.e the monitor isnt as good as a 3DTV would be for the PS3.
I really just want, if I can, to make this an opportunity to have the 360 running 3D too rather than purchasing a new TV as well as £3000 worth of new computer!!

I try the 3D on both an Asus 27 3D monitor and an HD 3D TV, same outcome.

So your saying the 3D on PS3 is crappy in comparison regardless of it being a TV or the ASUS Monitor?
I can't believe nobody else owns that monitor and has a 360!

    Morning,
I tested only 1 game (Batman Arkham City) and in 3D mode the PS3 was able to show decent 3D images but the quality using my PC was much better. The ASUS 27'' monitor supports NVIDIA 3D Vision so if you are using it with an Nvidia GPU is a good purchased. A cheaper alternative could be the BenQ XL2420T which also supports NVIDIA 3D Vision.
