thanks rakk, would you reccomend sticking with the i5-3570k however? its only £15 and is the better of the two and offers the overclocking ability say 2 years down the line when it becomes a little less powerful?

You can use the asus prime suite to slightly overclock your CPU, I have used it and not experienced any issues so far (4.4). If you plan to overclock and have a suitable cpu cooler, then go for it.

Well, it is only 15quid, so if it'll make you feel more futureproof if you get it, then go for it
If you think you'll want to have a go at overclocking later it is the better choice

You can overclock the cpu and still be under warranty plus the chips have built in protection so you should not worry about it breaking.
Yes this rig will be a beast of a system and good for quite a few years plus you can add another 670 if future games become a problem or if you want a 3D surround system

you worry me by not commenting on the upcoming AC3

don't want to pay £1400 for a machine that will become relatively useless in 6 months or not do a job a ps3 could do

yep sticking to 1 screen as don't want overkill anyway. ultra more importantantly really smoothly?

Well it has not being released thus I can't comment since I have not seeing any benchmarks. The GTX 670 would outperform graphics on a PS3 for sure, I'd expect the card to max AC3 as well.
