Just an update on my RMA. PC with PCS since Monday, passed to technician today and should get a response soon (looks like not before Monday). Feeling restless now....... seems to be taking ages.

Getting slightly impatient now ......... PC now with PCS for 7 working days. Not 100% sure what is happening other than it being checked by technician. It has certainly taken a lot longer than my first RMA last year where the motherboard had to be replaced (that took a total of 5 working days to be fixed and returned back to me).

Have you try contacting them for an update? Once it reaches the technician's bench it gets sorted pretty fast.

I did and was told it was with technician and I will get an update shortly (that was on Monday). Not really complaining as the longer they take to check things hopefully all issues will be picked up. Just getting impatient as I have to make do with my rattling Q6600. I had asked about taking the opportunity to upgrade, still not sure whether I can or not. Notes on my RMA states they will get someone from call centre to call me once the tech team have checked the PC.

Got a message from PCS today to advise that the whole PC has been stripped and left to dry. This will take 2 working days and then will go through testing. Two weeks already and will go well into the 3rd week. Seems like the RMA process this time round is taking an age.......

It could be in the testing queue with all the other computers, plus they would want to make sure that the water cooling liquid didn't damage the components.

Leaving it a few days to dry out is a perfectly good plan, when I got a leak in my car they had to leave it 2-3 days for it to dry out (it was one of those sneaky leaks which meant one bit of my car was drenched but there were no obvious signs)

Tests revealed the leak did not damage the motherboard or cpu. Still decided to take the option to upgrade as knowing my luck it will start giving me problems the day after warranty runs out.

Decided to take the plunge and went with P8Z77-V pro, i7 3770K and 8GB DDR3 1600MHz RAM. May be slight overkill for me but do not intend to upgrade for a few years other than maybe the 560ti.
