    Problems with wow freezing

Hi guys, i have contacted Blizzard about this but they are about as usefull as a chocolate firegaurd, so i am hoping somebody with a brain can give me some ideas.(Quit playing is not the ansawer before anybody starts that).
I have a problem with wow freezing, it can happen at any time without warning but a couple of places it is constant.
If you play the game when i take the flying mount from the flight master in Dalaran to Argent tournament ground (for example) it will freeze whenever it crosses to the zones (Crystalsong Forest and again as it crosses into Icecrown), it happens as the text for the zone comes on screen and freezes for a couple of seconds, this is continous but i also get random freezing in other areas.
I have done all that blizzard suggest, removed addons, delete cache, wtf and interface files, i even put a fresh copy of wow onto my system but no change. It happens no mater what graphic level i set it to and v-synch setting has not effect. When it does freeze my fps drop from 60 (i have limited the fps but this makes no diffence) to around 20.

I am on an Optimus 2 laptop
    i7-2630QM cpu @ 2.00Ghz
    4.00GB Ram
    Nvidia GT555M gpu
And wired and wireless internet connection makes no difference.
I will supply other system spec if needed but i think this laptop is good enough to play wow on, crysis2 runs with no problems so wow should.

Thanks in advance and rep to anybody who may be able to help
    Chris

does the laptop feel hot during the freezes? just to rule out temperature issues.

What anti-virus are you using? A guess, but it may be interfering

I dont think its a temperature issue, the laptop is not to hot, CPU=60c and GPU 52c. I thought this may have been the cause and that is why i limited the max fps to help reduce temps and i dont need 80-90fps. My gpu usage is down to about 50% so i also know its not maxing out.
I am running microsoft secruity essentials.

I have run both my mse scan and the online scan and nothing is picked up, i have also defraged the hard drive but also the game file using game booster to see if it helped but sadly not.
I have updated my gpu, wirless card, soundcard drivers all without success.

    Hi Mate,

I had a similar issue with an asus laptop of mine a few weeks back (with the exact same specs as your own), the gpu / cpu is more than capable of handling it, but it turns out that I had a dodgy Harddrive (which promptly died on me around the time D3 came out DOH), if you're running fine, and then it's freezing up every now and then, particularly with lots of spell effects or when characters and such are coming in / out, then it sounds like it may be a harddrive issue.
