Just got my PC... YAY! But... a problem! Urgent help needed..
Okay, hey everyone, just recently got my PC from PCS.. I plugged it all in booted windows up all running fine, now I'm on my desktop and I CANT connect to any networks.. They are not even showing up in a list (i'm on the laptop now, right next to my pc, and there is a least 5 wireless connections, including mine) .. I DO HAVE a wireless card in there plus there is WIFI on the Motherboard...
I went into device Manager and under the "network adapters" I have the following:
- Atheros AR9485 Wireless Network Adapter
-Intel(R) 82579V Gigabit Network Connection
-Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport adapter.
Now.. I have clicked properties on all of these and it says the are working normally. I just want to connect to internet, whats wrong here?
I don't have to do any tinkering around inside the PC do I?

There are so many different possible causes for this problem,
could be a driver problem,a faulty card, card not inserted properly, incorrect settings on your system, your router not being compatible with the card,to name a few.Best bet would be to call tech support.

Firstly have you tried turning your router off for a minute and then restarting it as sometimes this can solve a problem with systems not finding or connecting to the network.
If that did not solve it then when your network was set up was the SSID hidden ? if so you will have to add it manually or log into your router and deselect the hide option so you can connect.
