    Adding extra ram

Hey guys, I've got an i5 2500 processor with 8GB ram and when I render videos my computer struggles to do anything else, even browse! if I add an extra 8GB will I see a difference? or is it my CPU that's restricting it?

When you render a video, press ctrl + shift+ esc, then go to performance to see what is maxed out. Then you can see the problem

I've got 16GB & I can render 3DS Max and browse the net, watch youtube etc. If I recall when I previously checked the memory usage from 3DS rendering it was about 8GB.

I will render a video tonight and see what I'm getting. I'm guessing you have an i5 too?

A little late but I rendered a short video and it took 2GB of RAM which is nothing, and it was taking between 90-95% CPU usage
