Nvidia gtx 690 vs two NV=idia gtx 680s SLI

Condolences.

Have to say though, this upgrade just seems crazy to me. On one screen as others have pointed out surely there will be no noticable difference over your sli 580 3gb setup. Again as Fear pointed out you could genuinely improve your experience with more screens or even a 3d one rather than harvesting a few extra fps for £1k.

thanks for all the replies folks , i have got my GTX 680s (jetstreams) & i am so pleased with them , i can now play red faction guerrilla & assassins creed revelations in full 60fps (which i couldn't do even with 580s sli in these cases) & thanks padforce for the condolences , i am an FPS junkie so the extra FPS on these games made it all worth it for me especially red faction .

Plus i wont have to upgrade my GPUs for a long time now as well

nice baron,

could you post up some pics?

interested to see how close the two jetstreams are

Jetstreams are about 3 quarters of an inch apart , i was a little worried at first about this but they are idling at 26C & full load i have not seen them go over about 70C & this was only with metro 2033 , mostly around the 60c mark , so definitely cooler than 580s , sorry cant post pics , nothing to take pics with , even mobile is just a simple phone - lol

Looks amazing, cant say im not jealous!

Id say to anyone , buy two of these bad boys , you wont be disappointed - but just make sure you have the spacing on the mobo slots as these things are ENORMOUS BEASTS !! , also good airflow would be essential as they dump all the heat in to the case .
