    Question PCSpecialist Live Chat

    Hey guys!

This is one of my first posts on this website and i'm glad to be a part of such a helpful and supportive community! Its like a mini notebookreview in here haha!

Anyway, I haven't placed an order yet however I do intend to. The only problem that i'm having which is slowing the process down is the dreadful live chat!

I started my chat today at 14:50:52
    Its now 15:23:43

I would give PCS a call however, the 0844 isn't something i'd like to phone from a mobile

I was just wondering if anyone else had similar feelings about the likes for Live Chat OR if there might be a way PCS could get an 0845 or 0800 number?

    Cheers for having a read!

    -Edd

You could try emailing them, I know the 0844 is quite expensive but they usually answer to any queries by email promptly.

I just bit the bullet and called them! Fortunately unlike other companies *AHEM* Alienware *AHEM* my call was handled by a fluently English speaking gentlemen who answered all of my questions quickly and effectively without hesitation!

So overall the call only lasted 5 mins!

I have tried emailing them in the past and its simply my own eagerness which prevents me from doing so again! I'm about to place an order, I'll post specs in abit

The number on saynoto0870.com is not correct and will not work - try calling it.

There are no numbers that will get you through to our call centre as they are part of a large hunt group which comes from an external network. We are not being awkward here, it's just the way we are setup.

There are some geographical numbers that are used for administrative facilities such as ordering and accounts. However, calling these numbers is a waste of time because the people answering the phones cannot help you and cannot put you into the call centre hunt group because (as I mentioned before) calls come in from an external network.

Our 0844 number costs 5p per minute max, sometimes less. That means a 5 minute phone call will cost you 25p, about half the cost of a chocolate bar.

Our 0844 number helps to provide LIFETIME hardware technical support for all customers. If you can think of a fairer way please let us know.

also use the call monitoring system, allows you to see how busy they are, save you calling during super busy periods.

    You're right - doesn't work!
Fairer way = 01xxx number. Most people have a mobile, most with contracts with free minutes to landlines.
My company has just removed all 08xx numbers as they are now deemed customer unfriendly. Our customers get to eat all their chocolate.

Wow, cheers for all the replies! However it seems my initial subject matter has been slightly lost in conversation ^^

I was just wondering if anyone else has had problems with Live Chat like long waiting times or random 'your customer rep has disconnected' messages. I guess if alot of us have these issues then maybe PCS could look into improving it
