I was going for a maximum of £1000 limit, but the monitor kinda made it more, so I had to reduce one of the other things.
Please help me improve it and if possible, bring down the cost a bit.

Well, yeah, but I want it to be able to play high-spec games for at least a few years.. Also, I'm a game developer, so it will probably be used for at least a bit of 3d modelling and a lot of code compiling

The i5-3550 would be good for gaming, I have chosen a better graphics card, the gtx 670 will allow you to play most games at high settings in 1 screen and a caviar black that is faster than the standard hdd. Also silver warran for £5

Now, I would like to ask you a few questions, Ruben, like why would the i5-3550 be better than an i7-2700k, and wouldn't an AMD graphics card be better for OC'ing, and the same for the processor, as for the HDD, I already have a 1TB Seagate, so I changed the main one for the 90gb SSD.
For the PSU, I have a 570W Trust PW-5500 that will be in the case I send them; for the monitor, I will probably just buy a TV, so that I can hook up my xbox to it as well.

If it is only for gaming the i5-3550 would do a similar job that the i7-2700k, whether is AMD or NVIDIA gpu if you overclock it you voide the warranty. You don't need the coolit unless you are planning on overclocking the CPU but you won't be able with the i5-3550. The GTX 680 is around £100 more expensive and looking at some benchmarks very very close performance with the GTX 670.

Took your advice and decided on the 670, and went with the water cooler and the i7-2700k, for overclocking. Won't try to OC my GPU, at least, not while I still have the warranty.
Thanks for your help
