sorry, in that one, I had the + GLASSES (£505) for the monitor, that is the wrong one, if you dont want 3d, but want the faster 120hz then the price will decrease quiet a bit ~200 pounds cheaper just for the 27inch monitor 120hz without the glasses.

First let me suggest what you can change around and what I done.
I went for the most expensive Razor Keyboard and Mouse as not sure what one you want and needed something to work to budget.
Got you a surge protector, there a must for such a expensive PC!
I gave you extended warranty, you can however upgrade the warranty for another up to a month before the current one expires (Saved me a few quid at order!)
Got you a decent 27" - I was tempted to get the pro Gamer one but that was £60 more so your choice.
Got you decent storage for video editing, also a SSD for fast boots and game loading. If you use steam you can refer to my post Here about moving steam games across drives, this way you can install steam on your larger 2TB drive and simply move the games you want to load quick onto your SSD.
Now, my graphics knowledge is a little rusty but Dual GPU are usually not as good as single GPU models, so I went for the 680 single GPU and the 4gb model for extra memory on video editing, nvidia are also better for video encoding so that's my reason there also. I also didnt go SLI as this can be added later, so got the best single GPU possible allowing for future upgrades.
Now, I also gave you 1gb or ram, I have 16gb and it is handy, especially for future proof as with each Windows revision the minimum memory requirement increases, so this will future proof you.
Now, things you may want to tweak.
Add a sound card - Your choice but onboard is usually fine unless your into music editing etc.
Increase ram - Again your choice, you can decrease the SSD or motherboard to get more ram, and vice versa, decrease ram and motherboard for a bigger SSD, your choice on the tweak.
This is all in budget with some pennies to spare but its a nice solid system.
Enjoy!

Although two GPU may make encoding faster etc, a single more powerful GPU will be a better option, especially as the OP wants the machine ot last 3+ Years, a year or two down the line can just drop a second GPU in and help it through the last leg, the GPU will also be much cheaper then too. - Thatsexactly what I plan to do with my PC (In Sig)

thanks so much for the feedback, firstly
- i was going to buy the i7 3930k ...is it not better??
- are the 2 x gtx 670's better than 1 x 680??
- i need it more optimised for gaming, video editing is a small rare hobby. i love arma and want to max the hell out of arma 3....no jumping or anything
thanks guys

well the i7 3930k will no doubt out-perform the non k version. but only a slight difference, the reason you use the K is if you plan to overclock the cpu, I believe the normal clock speed is like 3.5 GHz, and you can pump that up to ~4.2 GHz if you have the right cooling, (more for editing, however Arma 2 defo. uses some CPU requirements, so A3 will too)
I would say the 2x Gtx will outperform the Gtx 680 4gb, although its clearly debatable.

In 1 screen or surround gtx 670 sli will outperform 1 gtx 680 4gb. The performance between 1 gtx 680 4gb and 1 gtx 670 is very very close.

HAF-X i7-2700k Quad Core - 2GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 680 SLI - 240GB INTEL® 520 SERIES SSD - 2TB WD CAVIAR BLACK - CORSAIR 1200W PRO SERIES - COOLIT ECO II FAT BOY - NZXT Sentry 2 Fan Controller - Asus Xonar DX Sound card - 3 x ASUS VG278H 27" Monitor 3D
