    Thanks for the help guys. Yeah I have home premium. I guess I will just stay with the 12GB of ram for now. I rang up PCS and they said that I could try and put in 24GB of 2000mhz it may or may not not work. And considering you say premium is capped at 16GB, I would have to upgrade my OS to even see if my system could handle 24GB. I just wish I had known this before I bought it cos I had always bought it with the intention of upgrading when I came into some money.

    Does anyone have any more ideas on this issue, it would be greatly appreciated.

    As mentioned you will need to upgrade the OS to at least Windows7 64 bit Professional to use 24 GB of RAM,
    These are the upper RAM limits for the different editions of Windows 7 64bit
    Home Premium: 16GB
    Professional: 192GB
    Ultimate: 192GB
    To find out exactly what RAM configurations your system can handle I suggest you have a look at your motherboard user guide.
