Is it for gaming? do you have a budget? If it is for gaming I probably get the i5-3550 and the triple copper heatpipe, I'd also try to get a better GPU, the caviar black would be faster than the standard HDD and a better case to improve cooling and cable management.

hi about £1100 is my max and it is for gaming mainly

any recommendations that can keep to that budget would be very welcome indeed as i see some very good advice.

My main concern is to try and keep to the set cost and ensure it will last for a good time with the odd upgrade etc.

Edit: Vanthus beat me , his spec is very good. Mine has the i5-3550 and an SSD 90gb as well as the caviar black 1tb rather than the standard HDD. You won't be able to add a 2nd gpu (SLI) but the GTX 670 will max most games at high settings and it is much better than the HD 7850 you previously selected.

I would recommend using the fast track money for upgrades, 90gb is plenty just for the OS and main drivers. You can use the caviar black for storing your games and other files (documents, pictures, movies, music, etc) which is what I do.
