Useless me needs help filming games!
OK so FRAPS is terrible takes up too much room
and Bandicam won't record sound
so Im using Audacity, only problem is I can't remember the settings for recording Windows sound, Google is no help either
there is input then output, also a choice between MME whatever that is and Windows Direct sound
im finally in the mood to record some game footage and its driving me CRAZY i CANNOT remember the bloody settings for recording windows application audio in audacity
can anyone help?

of course,
in music production you have to be monitoring something, to record windows sound you have to create a loopback
well im an idiot, once again

Why you cant get sound in Bandicam? You have to go to Video-->Settings.Than you will see Format settings for video and audio.For Audio you have Channels,Frequency,Codec and Bitrate.Click on codec and change from MPEG-1 L2 to PCM.Thats all what you need to do
It works because i am using Bandicam all the time and works perfect for me.
