Looking to build PC dedicated to running FSX on max graphics. Advice please?

Hello all,

I am looking to purchase a custom PC that will enable me to run Flight Simulator X on maximum graphics with a high FPS.

I have absolutely no idea as to a budget, or what would be required to achieve this.

Please would it be possible to provide a number of options on a number of budgets?

Can you buy PC's here on your website?

I used to be quite good with PC's but after a few years of relying on the smartphone and laptop - I've really lost touch. So I can be considered a novice!

FSX is very cpu intensive, I'd advice indicating a maximum budget. I probably chose a pre overclock i7 with a gtx 670.

Really appreciate your feedback.

Based on this spec, would it be realistic to max out the graphics and achieve a high FPS?

I plan to purchase some scenery addons for the game, so would this be tolerable under this system please?

Also regarding a budget - I really am not sure what to suggest. I certainly couldn't justify spending over £1500 but would prefer somewhere in the £1000-1300 range.

However, it would be interesting to know what is required, irrespective of price to run the game on maximum.

I'd expect the i7 3960x giving you the best performance but that set up with a decent graphics card would cost in excess of £2000.
