    What games to get?

    Hi,
My laptop should be here soon but what I want to know for a noob pc gamer is what games should I get? I like FPS and MMO. I have looked on YouTube and online at the top 10 2012 and they are always different!? Hmm any help would be great.

I'm not a MMO player so cant comment on any of those games but I have recently been playing quite a bit of Metro 2033 and S.T.A.L.K.E.R (both on Steam) both are excellent post apocalyptic FPS games that are definitely worth checking out when you get your new laptop!

As far as FPS games are concerned, here are a few must plays:

    F.E.A.R.
    Doom 3
    Metro 2033

    Crysis Warhead
    Crysis 2... i suppose.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky (20 FPS maxed out on a 680M, very well optimised engine -_-)
    S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat
Call of Duty Modern Warfare, World at War, Modern Warfare 2. Black Ops and MW3 if you're currently high on a substance and think you're playing a "good" call of duty game.
    Amnesia: The Dark Descent
    Left 4 Dead

    RPG's:

    Fallout 3
    Skyrim
    The Witcher 2
Final Fantasy 7 (emulated for now, Square Enix re-re releasing it for PC with unnecessary tat)

    Other genre must plays:

    Horror:

    Silent Hill 2 - Director's Cut
    Silent Hill 3
Silent Hill 4 - The Room (tenative)
    Silent Hill 5 - Homecoming

    Others etc:

    Starcraft 2
Diablo III for about 5 minutes.
    Megaman X4

    Enjoy.

I certainly cant wait for Bioshock Infinity, and Metro Last Light (Metro 2033 was awesome!).

I think Dishonored looks excellent too!

So many good games, not enough hours in the week to play them all...
