DPD Tracking.

My order was dispatched this morning (about 6 hours ago) and the DPD tracking number i was given for it does not work, as in, when either using the link provided on "my orders" or independently typing in the tracking number on the DPD website neither of them bring up my package.

is this common? will it take longer than 6 hours for the packages tracking number to become available to check on the website?

Any info is appreciated.

The tracking generally does not become active until the package is logged in at DPD's depot which often is not until the evening time when the driver has finished his day, so don't worry.

Exactly as Rakk has said, my experience was very similar to what you are describing but I noticed in the evening that day that it was live. The tracking should be working by close of business today if not sooner!

They are physically collected 3.30 - 4.30 ish each day and will become live on the website once the driver has finished his round and scanned them in at the Leeds depot.

Cheers all, was freaking out for a second there. I thought they wouldnt be able to give me a tracking number unless the package was already in the system.

This has settled some nerves.
