I would go with an SSD. Applications saved on the SSD will speed up as well as booting windows.

so with the SSD would you install any games on that then for them to load faster or just keep it for the boot etc ive seen reviews of SSD online and its hard to form an opinion on them, some people say they're great and some people hate them , im stuck in the middle at the moment :P

I have not notice a significant difference loading games using my SSD as opposed to the caviar black. 120gb is not much considering that some games occupy more than 20gb, you could try installing the games you play quite often in your SSD. In my case the SSD was a good purchase, windows feels faster as well as as all applications/programmes I have there.

I recently moved from a few year old laptop with an age old HDD onto a new pc with SSD and I must admit I've noticed a drastic improvement in boot times for windows and all the other programs I have stored on the SSD (of course a lot of that could just be the new pc). Cant say I store my games on there though I use a separate larger HDD for that.
Whether you should just put the OS on the SSD or whether you should put other programs on is probably more a matter of personal choice.

I know that feeling! Everything seems to look superior on the PC than on the Xbox, I have several titles on both platforms now every one of them looks (and most of them play) better on the pc!
