Cool One last advice call before ordering: Optimus III!

    Nervous/excited!

First just wanted to say thanks to those of you that have given me advice so far, it really has helped!

SO, this hits my (stretched) £900 budget at... £900! So it almost seems a shame to change a round number.

But is there anything I've forgotten, or something I really don't need? This is really a multimedia/gaming PC, so multi-tasking and a decent GPU are important.

Just a couple questions I guess:
-Has anyone had the matte screen, and was it loads better? I might downgrade the HDD for a screen upgrade if it is really appreciably better (not just in high light conditions).
-Is there anything I could do to improve the longevity? Battery upgrade or cooling pad? How long d'you think this lappy will last if I treat it well?
-Any general advice about components? Where d'you think the bottleneck in the system's performance will be?

THANKS so much for advice so far, I will post pics or whatever when it arrives! Not much of a benchmarker though

Also if anyone is gonna be playing GW2, PM me your main's name and I'll see you in the game!

I would personally advise a cooling pad to ensure the longetivity of your laptop, i ordered the Zalman ZM-NC3000S and it works like a charm. Keeps my Vortex ice cold for general use and very cool for long hours of gaming!

Also, is the version of Windows an OEM license? I would ideally like to be able to install W7 on another laptop if... heaven forbid... the unthinkable happens. And having stared in frustration at some Dell reinstallation disks, I really want "my own copy" of Windows..

Thanks for the help. I might just get a full license retail version for the flexibility it offers...

But will PCS install windows for me if I just get windows from them?

They should be able to do that for you. I'd contact them with your order number for an official response.

If you buy an OS from PCS it will be an OEM version, meaning you can only use it on the computer you buy it with,it will be fully installed with drivers ,all you need to do is activate it & install Windows updates.
