Optimus III help (spec and screen size)

    Hi all,

I was introduced to PCS by a friend and can't to get my hands on a custom built laptop for general use (some college work, downloading/watching movies, listening to music, internet and also connecting to my TV to use and watch Blurays etc).

I have been drawn towards the Optimus III and like the spec below. I am not a techie and not a big PC gamer so am unsure really if this spec will suit my needs or is a bit OTT?

Another question: Why is it £1 cheaper for exactly the same spec on a 17.3" Optimus III?? I would have thought that you would pay more for the bigger screen? Any reasons for or against either screen size? I am not too worried about portability as I will mostly be using it at home but I want something that will comfortably sit on my lap!

If you are connecting the laptop to your TV then I wouldn't worry about the screen size. I'd consider upgrading the warranty to at least silver for £5.

The laptop will probably only be connected to the TV for watching movies/video clips. Most of the time it will be used as a normal laptop for multimedia, web browsing, microsoft word/excel etc. Is there much difference in the screen size for weight and portability? I still don't know why the larger screen is marginally cheaper? Upgrading the warranty sounds like a good idea by the way, thanks.
