    New bespoke PC arrived

Well, the wait is finally over. The beast has arrived!!!

It took about 13 working days but the delay was due to a cooler fan that they couldn't get hold of. I changed to a water cooler and it arrived very quickly after that. Very well packaged. Great communication.

I decorated the room while I waited for it to arrive. Only need to make some cupboard doors now and its done. Here's a few pics. I've included a before and after of the desk that I built. I made the whole thing from some plain wood that I bought (with a lot of help from my wife). ;-)

    Whaddya think?

Would highly recommend PC Specialist. They are an excellent company. Will definitely use again.

Nice mate! Loving the desk (+Rep). Is that a Sidewinder force feedback Joystick on there?

Hi Steaky, it certainly is mate. One of the reasons I got the new rig was to play Flight Simulator X in all its glory.

    Thanks Lewis. :-))

The only problem I've got now is that the new room is showing the rest of the house up and The Leader Of The Opposition is wanting the rest of the house decorated. I've explained that you can't rush these things but she's not having it when all the stops were pulled out to decorate the entire computer room, build the furniture and put in surround sound in about 9 days (*edit* evenings really, doing it after work) .... I feel a cold coming on... :-))

Pull a sicky... Wait, don't think that will work with the wife... Something more cunning might be required.

Very nice rig and handywork (+Rep)!

Did you know you can have those two LED intake fans mounted behind the front grill instead of on the side?

That's the case I'm getting with my build and I've asked PCS to switch them round so I can see the lights on the front instead of hidden behind the panel. I'm assuming it will promote better airflow into the back of the case where the GPU is as well.

It appears they ship these things with the fans on the side so people can access the drive bays by taking off the other panel.

    Thanks Narcotics.

Tiberias, I didn't realise that. Thanks for the info I think I'll swap them round then. Cheers! ;-)
