Darksiders II: Death Lives
I really thought there was a thread for this somewhere, but seems it was just mentioned as part of other threads.
Anyway, its released this evening (stupid Valve with their stupid US release times) so thought i'd mention it.
Anyone that played Darksiders will no doubt love it, but I would recommend anyone that fancies some hack and slash action RPG...action to give it a go, perhaps getting hold of the first one if its cheap, not entirely sure as yet how the story follows on etc.

I must say, I do quite like the look of it, was watching the trailers for it last week with my boss at work.
Though 'Death' did make me think of Skeletor for some reason

If anyone played / enjoyed the Zelda series of games for the N64, Darksiders will give you goosebumps. It was (and is) excellent.
Darksiders 2 looks brilliant too, I was eagerly awaiting it since the finale of Darksiders but was a little gutted to discover this is a prequel. Although its sad to admit, I'll be getting this for the 360 instead of the PC.

Skeletor but with added agility (and a giant Scythe)!

Yup, missed the part about it being "Zelda...with more dead people"
I can't argue with the 360 thing either steaky...this is a console game. I think you can always tell a console game that they ported to PC from the very very first screen...
If it says "Press to Start" or "Press any button to start"...then its a console monkey game
If it goes straight to a menu, you've got yourself a bona fide PC game.
I imagine that the sequel proper to Darksiders would actually involved War again; would make more sense really, and have a separate string of games with Death in (not sure how they'd do Famine/Pestilence and Conquest would seem a bit similar to War?)

Let's hope it isn't as buggy as the PS3 previews. Anyway I'm waiting for Dark Souls Prepare to die edition.

Those are impressive combat graphics. I wonder what PC machine specs they require to look like that. We will learn that soon.

Right enough, although I was hoping for a direct follow on from the end, perhaps containing all of the horsemen at once. Allowing potential multiplayer/cooperative play possibilities.
Everything aside though, Darksiders was epic and I would imagine if you can get away with using a controller on the PC probably an ok port?
