Steam always have a christmas sale with amazing offers on top-end games. Personally I wait for the last day of the Steam sale (unless there is something worth noting on the dailies) before making any purchases as to get the best deal.

It was a pricing error that was fixed within 5 minutes. To be honest, it's still a large saving.
