Which Folding client(s) for my setup?

I've tried this out briefly in the past but I'm now prepared to take it seriously and give it some real computing power on a frequent basis.

Kudos to the folding@home team and all their hard work but if they want to appeal to the mainstream then they definitely need to make the setup more straightforward.

Which client(s) do I need to fully utilize my AMD card and processor? The website isn't really very clear.

    Hi Tom,
As a rule of thumb you want to run 1 CPU process per physical core, and 1 GPU process per physical card.

Be Warned, Folding is very addictive.

There are many revisions for both the CPU and GPU client, but the beta versions are usually pretty stable. And have support for the latest cards.

Dont forget to create a user to track your folding, and Dont forget to put some work in for a team.

You can run the CPU and GPU client together, and you will score higher for it.

If you would like some help setting it up ( Windows I assume ) then id be happy to RDP over and get you up and running ( Ill even set you up on the pcspecialist team )

But if your happy with how its running, then fold on golden folder, and welcome to the team

Yes, you can happily run both CPU and GPU's running at the same time, though I've found the CPU one gives very few points and takes forever to get even one unit finished, so I wouldn't be too bothered if you cant get the CPU one working (admittedly I could be doing something horribly wrong).

my 920 @ 4.2 is running a CPU client for each core, and generates roughly 50% of the points compared to my SLi 480's

The CPU client works best with a client running for each physical core.

But its all dependant on your system spec of course.
