over the last few days, I've been getting this message intermittently. I can tell when it's coming now, because because before it pops up, the whole system freezes for a few seconds, then the screen goes blank. when the screen comes back, the alert bubble is there informing me of the issue.
it happens at any time, not necessarily when I'm playing games. I can just be browsing the net and it will occur.
I've checked in the device manager, and nothing seems untoward and lists both adapters as working properly.
my GPU is the 2GB ATI Radeon HD 5970, and the driver version I have installed is 8.801.0.0, dated 25/11/2010.
