Were you running the SMP client on the CPU? It should be able to kick out a decent amount of PPD due to the bonus points you earn for completing each WU, providing it's done within the time limit and you have a folding@home passkey.

Most of the points awarded come from the bonus.

My PPD on FAH GPU tacker 2 on SMP is 1089PPD (i5-760 @ 2.80Ghz)

That is on the status bar

however your right (as always :P) the PPD when i open up the stats is 7831
    For a 481 point project i got 1392 points

Ahhh thanks im not planning on making a farm so 15863ppd just for one cpu and a gpu is pleasing

    That's a good score, you're beating my rig's 24hr output anyway.

Running folding@home isn't AMD's strong suit. Not at the moment anyway - still waiting on a more optimised client. Think it might be a long wait.

Same I rarely run it for extended periods of time. This system has a long way to go yet.

The reason Intel/NVIDIA come out on top over AMD with folding@home is cause of hyperthreading, performance core for core and the fact that the clients are poorly optimised for AMD hardware.

This generation of AMD CPUs will always lag behind but in theory the GPUs should perform much better with an updated client. Rumor has it one is in the works. I sure hope it's true.

They're working on OpenCL dev kits now so sometime in the next millenia you should see an optimised client. FAH client v7 is out in beta stage at the moment btw.

    Yay!

Did you see the article in Custom PC where they were discussing it? Made for an interesting read.
