problem with my laptop regarding graphics

    hi all,

i bought this laptop from pc specialist 8 months ago, and if i'm honest its being doing this problem from day i thought i may have solved but it keeps reoccurring.

let me explain, when the laptop is idle or just browsing the internet not doing anything to strenuous i get on occasion the screen go all pixalated and a pink colour, now most times i control alt delete and then cancel the task manager and it clears it up, but on many occasions the screen locks up and recovers saying " the graphics card has recovered from a serious error" or it just has to restart the computer via the power off button.

i have tried many things update drivers roll back drivers tried 3rd party ones too. i have gone into event viewer and list the errors i am getting but to no avail i have i been able to solve this problem. the strange things is i run games and push the graphics card hard and it works perfectly but just idling on desktop or viewing the net i get this pixalated problem.

any help would be appreciated just hoping its not hardware!

    many thanks

    Peter K

Hard to nail anything down, that's a symptom of so many things. Bad things too, give PCS a call before it goes out of warranty, you should have had this sorted from day 1!

I'd just contact support, they might already know of the issue you're having and they're the only ones who can sort you out if anything needs replacing anyway
