Sorry but I just don't get big laptops. I can see the appeal in portability, but you won't exactly take that out on the road much.

That's the niche netbooks and tablets will fill.

I've seen some crazy high-end gaming laptops, but there is one good thing that comes out of it to me...

all this power reduction and minituarisation drive the next round of desktops! lol

Thing is if your changing location/going between countries every few months a desktop is just a bad idea, if you pay a lot of money on a pc but can't use it when you want unless you pay for it to be shipped everywhere it's just not going to happen. That's the only reason I'm getting a laptop - if I was permanently in one place then I'd splash out on a desktop no question
