advice on avchd editing desktop - overkill config??

Hi Guys,

Looking for a desktop aroung 2200gbp max.. mainly for some serious avchd editing and authoring blu-ray (no games)

Here is what i liked when i looked. But I am worried if there is something which is an overkill. And also, do I really need this graphics card or something cheaper could work? Some thread about 3d and 2d cards... lost it now... you advice pls..

If we want to reduce the price then straight away i can recommend you scrap the Cosmos 1000 and get something a bit more compact, that is mainly a gaming / bragging rights case.

The Eco can be swapped out for an air cooler such as the Triple heat pipe one we sell.

Welcome to our forums. Your specification can be reduced as follows:

1. Case
2. Motherboard to standard rather than premium.
3. Remove 2nd Optical drive, as you don't need two drives unless you need to copy from disc to disc.
4. 1000W PSU is overkill, 600W will suffice.
