    Monitor resolution

After several months use on one of your computers my monitor has suddenly decided that it can only manage the native resolution of 1920x1200 in a squashed, corrupt way.
    It's ok at 1920x1200.

What is likely to be at fault? Part of the computer? The monitor itself?

    Help, please!

    Thanks

First port of call would be drivers for me, remove them and install the latest from the video card makers website.
I dont work for PCS anymore, fix it yourself!

Sounds like a silly responce but if your running an nvidia card open the control panel. When opened power off ur monitor and then reconnect while still in nvidia control panel. When the monitor comes back up you should be given ur complete list of resolutions. Dont know why but this has happened to me i spent hours trying to install and uninstall drivers. Give it a go and let me know how you get on.
