multiple screens on top end laptop
Hi, I have just specified a possible new 17.3 laptop to replace my existing monster desktop. I am used to using three monitors and need to know if I can do this with my spec, which includes an external docking option which I understand has 1 dvi output - but can the internal nvidea card drive two monitors as well?
Incidentally I cannot see if there are any HDMI outputs on the laptop?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

i dont belive so possibly you may get a vga/dvi and a hdmi but you may want to look at some of the external gpu`s out there as heat running 3 displays off a mobile gpu might be a problem also.
Feel free to bump the star if ive been helpfull.

I don't know if this helps, but I'm currently running two 1080p screens on integrated graphics: "Built-in Display" + "Monitor"
I've been doing so for the past few days and it all runs seemlessly; max CPU core temp currently around 50 degrees, and peaks at 60 during normal use.
I think my laptop would become as much of a heater as my desktop if I had my GPU on all the time!

Unfortunately our laptops only support a maximum of two screens - built-in display + external monitor or two external monitors.

as i said think your only option to run 3 external monitors off a laptop would be an external gpu there not much if your not planning on gaming etc on it something like £50 will get you a half decent one off amazon.
Feel free to bump the star if ive been helpfull.
