i've always imported my ME1 charachter but isn't there a thingy-m-bob to allow you to create an ME1 save ?

I just recently played ME2 on the insanity level and after completing it, wasn't awarded my badge :¬( apparently it's a common problem and i just did it to see if i could. actually it wasn't as hard as i was expecting, probably why they've said ME3 the difficulties will be upped.

Is there a way to generate a ME1 and 2 save file for a character of choice?

I think ME3 might have a section where you can fill in some of the blanks. You could always recomplete them - you may just surprise yourself with how much fun you'll have!

Reinstalled ME and ME2 yesterday, started a new game, I've only played through it as a soldier since thats my prefered class, but gonna try the infiltrator this time, Im pretty sure I can change class for the 2nd and 3rd anyway if I don't like it.

Need to play it again, even if I just do it slowly, got to march 2012 anyway, *SPOILER ALERT* it always annoyed me in ME2 that it automatically gave me the story of letting the Council die, when infact I chose to save it. Stupid how they gave you some questions in the shuttle with Miranda but nothing about the key points like the council.

"Genesis" is the comic book gizmo that lets you make the choices - http://social.bioware.com/page/me2-dlc (320 points)

in my googling i did notice some "free" ways to obtain it. the other alternative is to use the save game editor.

Played through Mass Effect 1 this weekend, 11-12 hour play through, not bad concidering I remembered most bits, still just as epic though, actually ended up enjoying the playthrough, just started ME2 again as well.

Also, since I tried it as Infiltrator, I loved it! Too bad the sniper scope is ****e in ME1, just went pistol all the way through, gotta love taking out a full group of Geth with one maxed out Overload. Gonna go infiltrator in ME2 as well see how it goes! The stealth looks quite nice.

damn all this talk of replaying ME1 is making me want to install it.... infact i think i will, and ditch my current me2 playthrough as a femshep (earlier raves encouraged me to try it) i've played femshep for a few hours now, omg the voice acting sounds so disinterested.

Are you seriously saying that you prefer that knob of a voice acter that does the male voice? Typical American, sounds overly cocky, sounds like a complete douche and he's so damn full of himself, he loves the sound of his own voice.

Femshep's voice is perfect, feminine, yet tough, not some bimbos voice, perfect for someone in military service.

    yep.

to me, it sounds as if before the recording started, she'd just found out the chap doing the voice acting gets paid three times as much, her cat had been run over and her boyfriend dumped her because her voice was dull and monotone.

it turned out the cat was fine by the way, no animals were hurt in the typing of this message. oh and she got back with her boyfriend, turned out that later he had some industrial accident and became quite hard of hearing. and everyone lived happily ever after, except the cat but that's another story.
