    Huh, when my new PC is here I think I might give this a go. I mean, I leave my PC on inactive quite a bit so it may as well be helping something out. I've read the site and stuff and still don't quite get it, but hell. If it's doing good then who cares?

    Can someone give me the real dummie guide to set this up.

    I want to be able to run it maybe maxed out on cpu and gpu when not using my pc but easy to turn off when i want to use PC.
    I tried to set it up on old PC but i think it lost my work block when i stopped it so i may have set it up wrong.

    I had quite a bit of help with this at the start of the year. Sleinous recommended a handy application which makes the entire process far more straightforward - no need for the command line etc:

    The setup guide on the website explains it better than I ever could.

    You'll rake in the points with your rig (folding@home loves Intel & NVIDIA setups) and should be able to enable bigadv on the SMP client and the GPU3 client.

    i tried that client and when i try and do any settings or anything it says 'cannot apply settings without FAH clients'
