What are the 'filler panels' on PC case called?

Im referring to the bits of plastic which fill in the spaces left when you take out say a dvd drive etc. Are you pretty much universal? can you take one out of a pc and put it into another? i would of thought that they must be very similar size as dvd drives are the same dimensions, aren't they? cheers

I believe they are universal, but i'd think depending on the case, the place where they clip in may be different than on the other case, so some may not work on others. Also, i think that they're called drivebay doors/panels? Im probably wrong..

yes, they are all know as 5.25" bays, seeing as they are 5.25 inches, although installation may be different depending on case

Blanking plates. Depends on the case to be fair. Some will look odd in others and possibly not fit. Hit up the call centre if its one from us.
