Hi all,

New to the forum, I had a PC in my teens and moved to console for ease however I've just bought this bad boy, let me know what you think! I'm hoping it will run all the new games etc. at top settings as well as being more than enough for Music production;

It depends what software you use, but the i7 7700k may well be more than sufficient for your needs, or even better than the Ryzen. The i7 is definitely a lot better for gaming (plus you can have it with faster RAM), though the Ryzen will still run the games.

The UV400 is a fair bit slower than the other Sata III SSDs on offer. You might consider the Samsung 850 Evo / Hyper X Savage SSDs, or one of the Samsung NVMe SSDs off the M.2 SSD Drive menu.

SSD brand and question mark over the CPU choice aside, in general the build seems quite balanced. :)

Thanks for the feedback, I may well up the spec on the SSD to a faster one, the build isn't in production yet so I can still tweak!

I'm about to buy new gaming laptop, and in my thread I've been told :

I would avoid the UV400 as it is a fair bit slower than some of the others for not all that much of a saving.
If buying a Sata SSD I would get either an 850 Evo or a HyperX Savage.
